Test of the H3C S12516X-AF datacenter core switch, sets a new world record by demonstrating the highest bandwidth capacity for a single switch with 768 100G Ethernet interfaces. This is, by far, the largest assessment of 100-gigabit Ethernet switch performance ever conducted. This test had the highest EVPN scalability ever recorded within a single chassis with 768 concurrent VXLAN tunnels. This project also shows how Spirent TestCenter can help reduce test time, even in very large-scale technology assessments.
Other test highlights included:
The highest throughput ever recorded from a single switch chassis (76.8 terabits per second)
Throughput of more than 100 million frames per second per port on each of 768 100G Ethernet ports
Support for nearly 1 million unique routes learned via BGP
Identical throughput when routing to 768 routes and nearly 1 million routes
ISSU failover times measured in tens of microseconds
